A fathers role is to care for his family. Hunting and providing protection, giving lessons and teaching through conviction of his own footprints the way to adulthood. Taking time to sit, listen, teach, yarn and guide in traditional men’s circles with sons and providing for wife and daughters (represented by the kangaroo as a symbol of food).
His presence calm, strong and unwavering his heart big enough for children of his blood and those taken into his care. He remembers and is allowed through respect to uphold his place in the family, giving him responsibility and meaning. He himself nurtured throughout his time on Country by fulfilment of his role and watching the growth and future generations become the caregivers and carers of Country they came into the world to be... the bright colours will continue to emerge and the patterns represent the fire and growth he instils in all around him.
