The seven meeting grounds represent different Country I visited in this time of my life. The yarning circle’s that are surrounded by symbols tell of those who sat with me and symbolise the significant women I met in the two prominent communities. These women inspired me to support and advocate the strength that women bring to family. The flow of circles that you see in blue run like a river and this represents the flow of life. The two yarning circle’s surrounded by women meet in a bend and a point and represent the trade they exchanged. A trade of core values of kinship, strength and resilience. The trade is not always tangible objects sometimes it’s a lesson learnt from Elders who pass on the lessons of life. The hand prints represent the start of my journey and my movement through Country. The bright colours represent the pulsating strength of the inner spirits of women that bring light into our families and shine a beacon showing the way forward. This painting is my representation of my re - spect to all women of strength I have met and those that influence me in my life .
